About Me

Roxy Roux began her creative journey from the age of 8, classically trained in piano she began to experiment with many art forms. Picking up a 35mm Minolta belonging to her parents at the age of 12, photography became a major love along with music in her life. The rest as they say, is history.

Juggling between learning the guitar and experimenting with photography, Roxy's journey continued through her secondary schooling and through to tertiary education.

Studying at Enmore Design Centre gaining a Certificate IV in Design, she was able to learn all aspects of art and design ranging from fashion design to set design as well as illustration and graphic design. The course allowed Roxy to be inspired by all forms of art and solidifying her future direction; Photography.

Roxy has then gone to study photography at Sydney Institiute of Technology as well as the Australian Centre for Photography. Now freelancing for over 4 years her focus is fashion and portraiture, her style focusing on texture, line and themes to bring a story to life.

Collaborating with creatives in Sydney and Melbourne, Roxy has created rapport with many artists to create series and collections to build her portfolio as well as working for companies such as Thomas Sabo, Sydney Tower Restaurant and Boombox Dance Academy.

She also adores capturing special events such as engagements, birthdays and weddings. Developing a collection of images for clients to tell a story of their event through candid and posed shots. Portraits sessions are also a vital aspect of adding to a clients special collection with the addition of creating photo albums to remember the event.

She is available to travel interstate and internationally. To arrange to meet to discuss your event over a tea or coffee head over to the contact page and send through your ideas and dates.
